Contemporary artistic visions of our nation's bloodiest conflict.  Dozens of regional artists' works will reflect on what has changed, what has remained the same, and how the Civil War's legacy impacts us today.  The opening reception will feature light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Christopher James Nationally renowned folk singer and songwriter Cheryl Wheeler has been entertaining audiences for years with her perfect blend of music and humor.  Her low key, self-deprecating manner, quirky humor, natural story telling ability and beautiful voice have made her one of the shining lights of today's folk scene.  She'll be joined by Christopher James whose music is steeped in the blues tradition. The Maryland State Arts Council presented him with an Individual Artist Award for his latest release, When the Moon Gets High Tonight: The Blues Mandolin Experience, recorded with Grammy nominated producer Professor  Louie. He has won the Baltimore Blues Society's Blues Challenge contest and received two Wammie nominations for Best Blues Recording and Best Blues Vocalist.
 
This event is being presented by an outside rental organization and is not sponsored by the Carroll County Arts Council.
