Monthly update from The Relentless Fight.

July Update from The Relentless Fight

The gospel means identity comes BEFORE activity

Monthly update from The Relentless Fight.

July 2015 Update

Below is a summary of posts from the last month, click the graphic to view the post. Share with folks that need to be encouraged!

Enjoy!
The Relentless Fight

Indicative THEN Imperative

"In English grammar, the INDICATIVE is a statement of being. "The car is red." The IMPERATIVE is a statement of command, "Paint the car red." And the distinction between these two grammar concepts is one of the most glorious and empowering truths of Christianity, and it stands in contrast to culture & religion."

From the Vault: The Cross is for Failures

Are you a good person? If yes, then everything is peachy. But if no, what's your hope? All the other major world religions have bad news for you if you're a bad person. But that's where the gospel shines most brightly!!

From the Vault: Don't Conceal... Confess and Forsake

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. (Proverbs 28:13 ESV) So simple. Only 17 words in English. And yet here we have a weight of truth; here we have freedom held out. These words are priceless.

Stan Dabkowski’s “Farmer Stan’s Plants and Produce” food booth in the Shipley Arena is always a favorite destination at the Carroll County Md Fair.

Stan is awesome. For years I always requested marinated asparagus spears - and one year he made them for me. Too funny.

Stop by and ask for marinated asparagus spears. Tell Stan, Kevin sent you.

The food review at the fair is always important information for Jake Holmes. Just saying. This year I enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich and french fries. Wow, I will have to run extra this week.

Update: One Win 10 upgrade fail. One success. Fail probably due to a drive failure... On a different computer, the success is working great.

A friend suggested, “Get an Apple.” I have an Apple and I was a pathetic Apple immigrant. Threw my hands up the air and went back to PC. But Caroline gets along with the Apple just great. Me, not so much. In the end, I gotta get my work finished... My editors do not care what I use to write stories - they just care that I get them written.

Carroll firefighters respond to a house fire on Western Chapel Road

Carroll firefighters respond to a house fire on Western Chapel Road http://kevindayhoffwestgov-net.blogspot.com/2015/07/carroll-firefighters-respond-to-house.html

July 29, 2015

Westminster Volunteer Fire Department PIO Kevin Dayhoff

Eighty firefighters from eight Carroll County fire companies responded late Tuesday evening to fight a single-alarm house fire in the 1300 block of Western Chapel Road.

The first came into the Carroll County emergency operations center for an investigation of a reported large outdoor fire at 10:18 p.m. At 10:34 the fire was upgraded to a box alarm for a house fire, and shortly after a tanker task force was requested to help supply water.

Firefighters from Westminster, Union Bridge, New Windsor, Pleasant Valley, Manchester, Taneytown, Hampstead, and Gamber remained on the scene for over three hours. The fire was declared under control shortly after midnight, according to the EOC. Units from Frederick and Baltimore County backed-up county stations.

New Windsor firefighters stayed on the scene until past 4 a.m. to assist the fire marshall’s investigation.

The fire remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshall. According to the fire marshall’s office, the 2-story log home was vacant at the time and suffered $25,000 in damages. “The vacant home was being prepared for demolition. Anyone having information concerning this fire is asked to contact 410-386-3030.”

Westminster Volunteer Fire Department PIO Bob Cumberland and incident commander Josh Evans assisted with this article.
