Tevis: The Heat Beat - Spring 2013
Welcome to the Spring 2013 edition of The Heat Beat!
Bioheat Gets New Wheels! Tevis has been selling Bioheat for over 10 years, but you can imagine our excitement when we won this gorgeous Bioheat truck wrap at the Atlantic Region Energy Expo last year! Could it be any prettier? And it only delivers Bioheat. But having this cool truck pull up your driveway is only one of the reasons to make the switch to Bioheat>>
Dudetrek Update – Where's Jonah? Colorado, and heading toward the Rockies! In a recent postcard, Jonah tells us he is both nervous and excited to begin this portion of his journey. Thus far, Jonah's trek is everything and more than he expected it to be. He's seeing amazing things and meeting friendly, intriguing people along the many miles he's walked. And as he begins this more aggressive phase of his trek, we are looking forward to his insightful posts and fascinating (and sometimes nerve-racking) videos! To follow Jonah along his journey, visit www.dudetrek.com. You can also find him on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram! Jonah, your Bioheat "limo" will be waiting for you when you return! Predictions & Prices Revisited The Fall 2012 issue of The Heat Beat featured an article called Predictions & Prices. Based on an assumption that energy prices would not decrease, and forecasts for a colder-than-normal winter, we predicted that our customers' 2012-2013 heating costs would likely be higher than in 2011-2012. As of March 2013, that prediction came true for most customers, but perhaps not to the degree we all feared. Despite everyone's wishes to the contrary, prices did not decrease, and ticked up 2% over last season. And while we had a scattering of cold windy days, we ended with a winter that was 10% colder than last winter, but about 3% warmer than our 6-year average (recorded in degree days). The combined result was an average increase in heating costs of 11% over last season. We don't know what next season has in store, but we're on your side! See Take Advantage for the ways we can help you off-set and level out your heating costs! Take Advantage to Manage High Heating Costs Are you taking advantage of all the ways Tevis can help you manage heating costs and keep your home comfortable year round? Customers tell us that the more of the following tools they take advantage of, the easier it is.
As a Tevis heating oil customer, you are already taking advantage of one of the tools listed above – fortified fuel. Besides reducing your oil consumption by up to 5%, our fortified Lower-Sulfur Heating Oil and Bioheat burn cleaner and more completely. This helps prolong the life of your heating system, and can save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on system repair or replacement costs! By combining even a couple of these tools, we think you'll have a significant advantage going into next season! For more information, click the links or give us a call at 410-876-6800. SPRING INTO SAVINGS
